What is the course about?
This is a Learning for Personal Interest course.
This course aims to explore a range of different ways that students can accurately copy their favourite images be they personal photographs or images in books or magazines to reproduce drawings both to the same scale and larger. We use techniques and materials such as tracing/carbon paper, acetate as well as different ways of using a grid to upscale the ouline of the required image to work on. We will then use art materials, such as pencils, coloured pencils and markers to develop the students ideas and rendering from there to completion.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
No experience is needed, students of all abilities and levels of experience are welcome, a desire to ry different approaches to problems would be advantageous.
What do I need to bring with me?
A range of pencils, eraser, Paper (A4,A3) Tracing paper, carbon paper. Direction about any other resources, including your own images, will be provided just before the course starts and on a regular basis.
Are there any additional costs?
There are no additional costs for this course beyond art materials.
