Unfortunately, Aspire Sussex does not have crèche facilities for our students.
However, we may be able to help towards the costs of childcare for any students on a qualification course (such as English, Maths, ESOL, and many others), based on the criteria below:
- You, the student, must be at least twenty years old;
- You must be able to provide evidence that you are on a low family income (below £25,000 annually) or on a means-tested benefit;
- The childcare provider must be Ofsted registered
Whilst we hope that all applications that satisfy these criteria will be successful, we regret that funding cannot be guaranteed. We have a limited budget for Learner Support, and it is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you feel that this applies to you, or you would like further information, please contact our Student Support team on 0345 6 01 01 61 or contact us via the website.
Alternatively, if you are less than twenty years old (at the beginning of the course) and you have children, you can apply for help with the childcare costs from the government’s Care to Learn Scheme. Full details are available at www.gov.uk/care-to-learn (opens in new window).
