"To explore & discuss different types of exam and their settings, planning for exams, symptoms of exam anxiety, causes & coping strategies to help ease and/or take away the anxiety in future. Learning Objectives: At the end of the lesson students will be able to :
(1) Recognise their own pre-exam behaviours and negative thought processes and reverse the effects of these negative thought processes in future by using a range of holistic and/or practical strategies to suit their needs.
(2) Seek further advice and support when needed from a list of possible sources and take future exams with less or no anxiety at all. They will have the tools to help others to do the same, thereby creating even more positivity through those surrounding them.
Course provides learners with a varied ‘toolbox’ of techniques to overcome or ease their exam anxieties including some exam preparation & planning, CBT, yogic breathing exercises and guided visualisation. At the end of the course they can then choose which tool(s) might work best for them and apply it in future.
