This qualification aims to introduce learners to the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work, and some of the approaches that underpin the use of these skills.
This qualification gives learners the opportunity to investigate the knowledge and skills needed to use counselling skills and engage in a helping interaction appropriately.
This qualification does not qualify learners to practise as a counsellor.
To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, learners are required to successfully complete 4 mandatory units:
• Unit 01 Using counselling skills
• Unit 02 Introduction to counselling skills theories
• Unit 03 Diversity and ethics in the use of counselling skills
• Unit 04 Counselling skills and personal development
The course is for students who want to work as teachers/trainers in the Further Education and Skills sector. It is a Level 3 qualification. The course includes the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality and diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners. You can expect to learn how to plan and deliver sessions, using appropriate resources and teaching methods. The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Nail Technology is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed nail technician. This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty massage therapist including, units covering the following: providing body massage, health and safety, anatomy and physiology and client care.
Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. You will develop a range of technical skills enabling you to provide relaxing massage treatments using classical Swedish massage movements. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.
This course provides a nationally recognised qualification that will enable you to gain a basic knowledge of childcare in early years environments. It includes the value of play, roles and responsibilities of carers and volunteers, and the importance of developing links in the local community. It covers working with children up to the age of 5 years. This course is a nationally recognised qualification and will enable the learner to develop the knowledge and skills needed when supporting teaching and learning in schools. It provides the opportunity to demonstrate performance and underpinning knowledge and can be undertaken by employed staff and volunteers. It is either a progression from the Award in Support Work in Schools or can be taken as a qualification incorporating the Award units.
You will require confirmation from a school to support you in a voluntary placement. You would be required to volunteer for a minimum of 6 hours per week.FIND OUT MORE
The course covers the following practical units. Manicure, pedicure, facial skincare, eye treatments, waxing and make-up.
