You will learn how to use text boxes, formatting the text using text wrapping, over flow, alignment, format painter, bullet points, tables, applying font colours and styles.
You will also add and manipulate images using image place holders and how to format document with headers and footers, with margin and layout changes. Students will also learn how to manage their publisher documents by saving and amending them.
What is the aim of the course?
This course provides an introduction to working with children.
No previous experience is required but it would be beneficial to be have an interest in working with childcare in the future
What will the course cover?
The course will include an overview of the different early years settings and the kind of roles that are available in childcare occupations. Students will find out the progression pathways and what is involved in becoming a qualified child care provider whether it be in a nursery or independent childminding.
The course will also cover some practical learning around the value of play and the expectations of early years learning.

Taught sessions will include tutor input, individual and small group work.

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the Greek language and to develop your communication skills in basic, practical situations. The emphasis will be on speaking and listening, and you will learn key phrases and vocabulary in Greek that are essential for day-to-day survival. The focus of classical mythology is often upon the men, the great heroes of the ancient world such as Hercules, Theseus and Jason. In this course we will examine the rôle of women in some of the stories: from goddesses to wives; from strong independent women to those who seemingly appear only as a prop to their men.
We will examine not only the tales that come down to us from antiquity, but also the reception of these women in later times through literature and works of art.
During this course you will develop a greater understanding of the techniques involved in the application of French Polishing. Through demonstrations & practical involvement, you will be taught the correct ways to repair individual piece of furniture, using traditional methods. This course will guide students through a variety of contemporary and traditional watercolour techniques based on the theme of landscape and animals. From summer skies to storms, countryside to cityscape and fur to feathers, the focus will be on washes, dry brushing, wet in wet, blooming, dripping, wiping out and much more.
