What is the course about?
This is a Learning for Health and Wellbeing course.
Each session will include; a thorough warm up, a variety of Pilates exercises safely emphasising body alignment and breathing, a range of core stability exercises leading to improved or maintain balance and co-ordination, more complex combinations of movements carried out at your own pace, cool down and relaxation. All of the aforementioned tasks will be adapted to fit the needs of each student.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This course is available to those who are looking to improve and maintain a physically active lifestyle. This course is suitable for learners of all abilities including those with no experience.
What do I need to bring with me?
For this course you will need; appropriate clothing for exercise, a non-slip mat, a flat cushion or blanket to sit on, a towel and a bottle of water. We recommend that you should always seek the advice of a GP before taking up physical activity or vigorous exercise. Should you feel it necessary to share relevant details of your medical history with your tutor, please ask them for a health check form and complete it as soon as possible. This form will not be copied, or the information on it, be transferred to any other document and will be shredded at the end of the course.
