An introductory taster session on managing the menopause for midlife women. To provide information, education and support for women interested in optimising their health and wellness during the perimenopause to menopause years and beyond.
This taster session will clarify what menopause is, as well as consider the perimenopause period and post menopause years. The hormonal changes will be outlined along with an explanation on how these hormones affect the brain, heart, bones, muscles and joints. Common symptoms women experience during menopause will be identified as well as the long term health implications. Strategies to manage these symptoms and improve quality of life will be examined. This taster session will specifically highlight lifestyle, dietary and exercise habits that take women beyond barely surviving and instead promote thriving through the menopause!
