What is the course about?
This course will cover a wide range of postures to increase flexibility, strength and overall body awareness. The warm up that is included in every session will enable you to mobilise your joints, working through a combine programme of yoga and pilates. Special breathing techniques will also be taught to focus on improving the breathing, while the mind Yoga philosophy will be an integral part of each class.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This course is for students who have no or little experience of Pilates or Yoga exercises or those who are looking to get back into either practice. This course is also designed for those looking to improve and maintain a physically active lifestyle.
What do I need to bring with me?
For this course, you will need; clothing appropriate for exercise, a bottle of water, a non-slip mat, a block or a cushion, a blanket for relaxation.
We recommend that you should always seek the advice of a GP before taking up physical activity or vigorous exercise. Should you feel it necessary to share relevant details of your medical history with your tutor, please ask them for a health check form and complete it as soon as possible. This form will not be copied, or the information on it, be transferred to any other document and will be shredded at the end of the course.
