What is the course about?
This course will guide students through a variety of contemporary and traditional watercolour techniques based on the theme of landscape and animals. From summer skies to storms, countryside to cityscape and fur to feathers, the focus will be on washes, dry brushing, wet in wet, blooming, dripping, wiping out and much more. Caroline will be demonstrating and students will be shown the work of different watercolour artists.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
What do I need to bring with me?
Watercolours, palette, a round watercolour brush to start with, watercolour paper preferably 300gsm.

What can I do next?
This course will give you the tools to carry on painting at home, You may want to continue on the watercolour course in the spring term which will be themed on portraiture and still life.
