What is the course about?
This is a Learning for Personal Interest course.
The course will enable you to communicate adequately in routine tasks and practical situations. The emphasis will be on developing your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
Your tutor will help you set personal goals for you to aim for and provide regular feedback on how you are doing. All lessons will have learning aims which the tutor will share with you and they will track how you are progressing throughout the course and keep you informed.
The structure of the language is introduced through everyday topics and practical situations and you will also gain an insight into the culture and customs of the country. Topics could include: personal and physical descriptions, daily routine, holidays and travel, talking about recent and future events, expressing preferences and opinions, describing the area where you live and the world of work.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This is the follow-on of a pre-established class that welcomes new learners. You can communicate in simple and practical situations, or have completed a Level 1+ course with us. If you are unsure of your level, please contact us and ask to speak to the tutor for further assistance. Diagnostic self-assessment sheets are available from our centres and on our website.
