What is the course about?

The aim of the course is to develop basic communication skills in practical situations for students who intend to use the language on holiday or for work.
The emphasis will be on developing your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The structure of the language is introduced through everyday topics and practical situations; you will also gain an insight into the culture and customs of the country. Topics could include:s family information, describing yourself and other people, shopping, and holidays and travel.

What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?

This is the follow-on of a pre-established class that welcomes new learners. This is a course for students with a very basic knowledge of the language, or who may have completed the entry course with us. If you are unsure of your level, please contact us and ask to speak to the tutor for further assistance. Diagnostic self-assessment sheets are available from the centres and on our website.

What do I need to bring with me?

Pen and paper. At the first session your tutor will discuss with you the purchase of a suitable dictionary and textbook.
