What is the course about?

Students will practise their piping skills using both buttercream and royal icing on this 3 week course. We will practice with different nozzles onto a practise board before piping onto a cake/dummy. The buttercream piping will be onto cupcakes – all with a festive theme!

What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?

This course is suitable for those who have little or no experience in cake decorating as well as those that wish to extend their skills. No qualifications are necessary.

What do I need to bring with me?

An Apron
Tupperware container or cupcake box to fit cupcakes in
6 cupcakes (home made or shop bought)
Large plastic or material piping bags
Any large nozzles for piping (like an open star shape)
Palette knife or normal knife (not sharp)
250g buttercream (whisk 500g grams Icing sugar into 250g softened butter & add a few drops of vanilla essence & milk to loosen)

Are there any additional costs?

A cake dummy or cake, Royal Icing ingredients, 10” board. Recipe/ingredient sheets will be provided for each session.
