What is the course about?
The course is for students who want to work as teachers/trainers in the Further Education and Skills sector. It is a Level 3 qualification.
The course includes the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality and diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners.
You can expect to learn how to plan and deliver sessions, using appropriate resources and teaching methods. You will be able to identify the characteristics of effective assessment and feedback.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
You will need an acceptable level of English to complete the assessments on the course and a Level 2 English and Maths are recommended for the role of Tutor/Trainer; we can provide appropriate support/signposting for you.
What do I need to bring with me?
A pen and paper for note taking. We will suggest a reading list for the course to support your studies.
For day courses, you may want to bring a packed lunch.
Are there any additional costs?
Progress to the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training.
