What is the course about?
In the instance of a Government imposed lockdown, this course will pause until it is able to begin again. No refunds will be made due to a Government imposed lockdown.
The course will enable you to communicate and understand complex lines of argument concerning familiar and unfamiliar topics and present clear, detailed descriptions on a wide variety of issues of interest to you. The emphasis will be on developing the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing as well as understanding of the rules of the language. The structure of the language is introduced through everyday topics and practical situations and you will also gain an insight into the culture and customs of the country. Topics could include: national and world travel, healthy living, leisure pursuits - sports, cinema and music- the world of work, and topics that are related to your personal interests.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This is the follow-on of a pre-established class that welcomes new learners. You will have already studied the language for some years and may have an A level qualification, or have completed a Level 3 course with us. If you are unsure of your level, please contact us and ask to speak to the tutor for further assistance. Diagnostic self-assessment sheets are available from our centres and on our website.
What do I need to bring with me?
Pen and paper. At the first session your tutor will discuss with you the purchase of a suitable dictionary and textbook.
