What is the course about?

This is a Learning for Personal Interest course.
The aim of this beginners course is to develop your basic communication skills in practical situations, e.g. to use Italian on holiday or for work. The emphasis will be on developing your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
Your tutor will help you set personal goals for you to aim for and provide regular feedback on how you are doing. All lessons will have learning aims which the tutor will share with you and they will track how you are progressing throughout the course and keep you informed.
The structure of the language is introduced through everyday topics and practical situations; you will also gain an insight into the culture and customs of the country. Topics could include: introducing yourself and other people, family information shopping, ordering food and drink, booking a hotel room, asking for and giving directions.
This course will be delivered online.
