What is the course about?

This course will introduce the origins and practice of a nineteenth-century style founded on nature, morality and idealism. It encompassed objects from the everyday to the luxurious; on a scale from architecture to jewellery; and influences our lives today.
From social reform to new formal ideas, inspiration from nature and truth to materials inspired by the work of Morris and Webb, Dresser, Ashbee and Voysey created new aesthetics and ways of working.
