What is the course about?
The aim of the course is to explore a short German Novel called Berlin, Meyerbeer 26, by Tanja Nause. The Novel will provide insight into German culture and some aspects of the German history. There is no need for you to read the Novel prior to the course.
This course will cover a wide range of techniques, including reading and listening to longer texts in German, providing insight into German culture and history and grammar aspects which are used in the Novel. You will be given opportunity to develop your writing skills and to take part in speaking activities.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This is a course designed for learners who have completed a German Level 2 course equivalent to German GCSE or Level B1 in the European reference framework. If you are unsure of your level, please contact us and ask to speak to the tutor for further assistance. Diagnostic self-assessment sheets are available from our centres or on our website
What do I need to bring with me?
Pen and paper. At the first session your tutor will discuss with you useful study material.

You will need to purchase the Novel: Berlin, Meyerbeer 26 by Tanja Nause, ISBN: 978-84-8141-043-3, it comes as a text book only or as a text book including a CD. You will only need the text book, which is available on major book seller websites.
