What is the course about?
This is a Learning for Personal Interest course that will enable you to understand more complex lines of argument concerning familiar topics. You will be able to participate in discussions with a degree of fluency and spontaneity and express your point of view.
The main emphasis will be on developing your speaking and listening skills. Reading and writing skills will also be covered. The structure of the language is introduced through topics covered during the course, with the tutor providing helpsheets and practice activities. Topics this term will include the culture, customs and history of France as well as current events in French speaking countries.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This is the follow-on of a friendly pre-established class that welcomes new learners. You will have studied the language and may have already completed a year at Level 3 with us. If you are unsure of your level, please give Aspire your email details and Aspire will arrange for the tutor to contact you. Diagnostic self-assessment sheets are available on-line and from our centres.
What do I need to bring with me?
Pen and paper. Most resources for this course will be created and sent to you by the tutor.
