What is the course about?
This short workshop of 4 hours is designed to help prepare students with an introductory knowledge of construction in a work environment. The focus of the course will be around the language of the construction site and, most importantly, health and safety. The course will cover the need for a CSCS card and the need for a HS&E test which needs to be completed before applying for the card. This course will not provide the student with these qualifications – they will need to apply independently for this and advice will be given regarding this
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
It is aimed at Entry 2 – 3 learners who intend to work in the construction industry. It is not suitable for beginners.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please note that this course is due to take place online from the intended start date. For the best learning experience, please be sure to use a laptop or desktop computer with a headset and web camera. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of each session. You will receive the joining instructions 3 days before the start of the course. You will also receive a reminder on the morning of the course.
