What is the course about?
If you enjoy reading stories and want to improve your reading and discussion skills in a friendly environment, this online course is for you!
We’ll read and talk about short stories, including personal histories, from different writers.
The stories will have themes relating to finding work and being in the workplace.
It will help you:
Improve your reading and understanding skills,
Grow your vocabulary,
Use a range of language useful for the workplace,
Speak more fluently and confidently.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
It is aimed at ESOL Entry Level 3 and FSE ESOL Level 1 and 2 students
The course will be 4 x 2hr sessions
Monday & Thursday for 2 weeks.
What do I need to bring with me?
This course will take place online from the intended start date. For the best learning experience, please be sure to use a laptop or desktop computer with a headset and web camera.
You will also need a notebook and pen.
You will be expected to read short texts before some of the lessons.
