What is the course about?
Understanding what happens during peri-menopause, menopause and post-menopause
How to prepare the body naturally with nutrition for the hormonal changes
Exploring nutrition solutions to common menopause symptoms experienced by many women including hot flushes, night sweats, insomnia, dry skin, mood swings, depression- every woman’s experience will be individual to her.
Reducing possible health risks associated with post menopause, such as osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This is an introductory course and there is no requirement to have any nutritional background knowledge- only a willingness to consider the idea that what you eat and drink can prepare and support your body for the menopause.
Group and individual work led by an experienced nutritional therapist, which will include food demonstrations/recipe discussions.
During the course you will be given opportunities to examine your current diet by completing food diaries between sessions and to introduce dietary changes.
What do I need to bring with me?
Pen and paper or notebook.
Mobile devices can be also be used, if preferred.
