Hollywood glamour comes to Burgess Hill!

For the 4th year running, students studying hair and beauty qualifications with Aspire Sussex will be going head to head in an exciting competition to see who can create the best styles with this year’s theme of ‘a night at the movies’.

The competition takes place at Marle Place Adult Education Centre, Leylands Road, Burgess Hill from 6pm to 8.30pm on Thursday 5 June. Anyone who is interested in Hair and Beauty is encouraged to come along and find out more about the range of courses on offer for next term which will include hairdressing, beauty therapy, holistic therapy and lots more.

Sam Boulton, Aspire Sussex Marketing Manager, said “This is a fantastic event and, every year, we welcome more people who can see first hand the amazing results that students on these courses achieve. At Aspire Sussex, we are very proud of our track record for the numbers of students who complete hair and beauty courses with us who go on to get jobs in local salons or start their own business.”

In keeping with the movie theme, popcorn and fizzy drinks will be provided. For further information, please contact 01444 810710.

Aspire Sussex Company Statement

The Trustees of Aspire Sussex have today issued a statement announcing that Ros Parker has resigned from her role of CEO to take up a new post and will be leaving the Company at the end of June.

Having led the Adult Education Service since 2006, including its transfer out of West Sussex County Council to establish Aspire Sussex in 2012 as an independent charity delivering adult education across Sussex, Ros has now accepted a senior role within Essex County Council. The Board of Trustees wish Ros every success as she moves back to Essex and closer to her family.

The search for a CEO to continue the work of establishing Aspire Sussex as a lead provider of adult education in Sussex will commence immediately and in the interim period they have confidently placed additional responsibilities with Judith McManus and Terry Burgess who will jointly fulfil the role of Chief Executive.
